About Us
In 2005 I was introduced to the Shiloh Shepherd Breed while I was working at an Emergency and Referral Hospital near Chicago, IL. He was the sweetest, most tolerant dog I had met in awhile. In 2006, I again remembered this magnificent dog, and started my search for the perfect Shiloh Shepherd. The first website I looked up happened to be Breed Founder, Tina Barber.
I did a lot of research on the breed and talked to Lisa Barber and in 2007 came home Basco, my first Shiloh Shepherd. I currently have three wonderful ISSR Shilohs that I am forever grateful to have in my life.
I knew all of my life that I wanted to be involved with animals, I just wasn't sure how. I grew up loving horses and enjoyed horseback riding for about 9 years, then life happened. In 2005, I figured out exactly what my career was going to be. I moved out to Denver to pursue my dream of becoming a Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT). After two years of year round schooling I graduated and moved back near my family in the Chicagoland area. I started my career working at an Referral and Speciality animal hospital, as an Emergency RVT.
I have since moved near Indianapolis, IN and continue to work in the ER department as a RVT, where my passion is. Being in this career is a blessing. I am lucky to work with the top Oncologists, Internists, Surgeons, Ophthalmologists, Neurologists, Dermatologists and Emergency doctors in the area right in the same hospital as where I work. This means my dogs get the best possible care they could get right at my finger tips.
Now I have embarked on a new journey of entering the OSS Academy and am on my way to becoming an ISSR Licensed Breeder. Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions, or want to meet my dogs if you are in the area.
